The Boss

After a long six hour drive through the beautiful italian countryside we have reached Tuscany. To be honest I thought the chances of us finding the accommodation was slim, as the place we are staying at was on no maps at all ( Fauglia ). I think if you translated " Fauglia " into English it would likely mean " In the middle of no where, off the beaten track, void of tourists, I speaka no english ! "
This is certainly a true Italian experience !
Pulling up to our villa we are greeted by big Electric gates - which in one way was a good thing, however, if the Italian Mafia ran the apartment it would give little chance of a speedy getaway ! We were made very welcome by several " Chiao's " however on driving through the gates I was alerted to 2 very hungry looking large pigs, a boxer (dog - not Bruno), a large white dog, and a smaller dog. The boxer we immediately identified as the boss, and to be honest I was not going to mess with him. Chiara, the owner took us to our apartment, while " the boss " attempted to chew my designer case " !, she handed us a bottle of " home brew " wine and showed us to our private pool ( things immediately started looking up !! ).
The apartment is in a 15th century house, and has all the mod cons while keeping to traditional features...perfect.
After unpacking, we decided to relax by the pool, and tuck in to the " home brew ". I would advise that Chiara could sell this potent brew to the mafia to immediately knock out all mortal enemies , as it immediately knocked us both out...wow what a bottle of wine !! For those good at Geography, the "Chianti region" is in Tuscany so experience in wine goes without saying
