The financial Times Top Share Tip !

No. of mostquito bites - 27 ( which means action plan mosquito was carried out successfully )
No. of hangovers from home brew - 2
No. of nuns in shop windows - 1 !!!

Well I have survived the night and not contracted malaria, and the " man flu " also seems to be on the mend, however I have now put my back out after violently coughing ! ( Think I am falling to bits as I head to towards the dreaded 40 ).  The profits of the Fauglia chemist has tripled since our arrival.  If the Financial Times knew about this chemist  it would be on the top 10 share buys, recording record high profits !!!

It has been advised by our kind hosts, that the easiest way to see Florence is to get the train from a place called Pontedra, as the parking costs can be in excess of 50 euros. So path finder " Adyano " kicks in again.  We have been very well informed by our guide book that when travelling on the Italian trains you have to stamp your tickets in a yellow machine or you will pay a fine.  Apparently this catches a lot of tourists out.  Not sure of the significance of the machine, other than taking money off you if you dont do it ... however, when in Rome !! ( well we will be soon enough ).

Florence is an amazing place, much nicer than Pisa.  We spent the day wondering the city absorbing all the breath taking architecture, towers, statues, as well as enjoying the bustling atmosphere of bars and restaurants...and dare I say it ...shops !! ( Well I have got to blog 6 without a mention of the word " shop " !!! ).  I did see a Nun doing a window display in a shop window today, which I did find quite amuzing !!! ( you may just be able to make it out on the picture )

The most famous landmark in Florence is the " Duomo" - it is breath taking.  There is also the " Baptistry " which has the famous gilded bronze doors, and the building is made out of white and green marble ( well I do need to make this blog educational as well ...and to prove I didnt spend the day shopping ! ).  There is so much to see here in Florence, and would recommend a vist, but make sure you pre book any sights you want to see.

Heading back on the train ( well we hope we are ) ... the train has just stopped and 2 paramedics have rushed on ( perhaps they have come for me and the Fauglia chemist has tipped them off !!! ).  If there are no more blogs , we could be either lost in the Tuscan countryside on the wrong train or been carried away by two paramedics " Ciao, Ciao " !!!
